The USC RFA and Emeriti Center were delighted to host the Russell Caldwell Neighborhood Scholars. The Scholars shared the latest updates from, offering insights into how they spent their summer and their exciting plans for the upcoming fall semester.
In a special moment, we extended heartfelt congratulations to the seniors graduating this year, Kevin Gomez from the Price School of Public Policy, and Michael Garcia Hernandez from the Viterbi School of Engineering. Their achievements and hard work were celebrated as they begin to close out this significant chapter in their academic journey.
We recognized the achievements of our junior scholars, Raul Torres, Jr., and Jose Zarate-Diaz, both from the Viterbi School of Engineering, and highlighted their dedication to academic excellence.
Sophomores, Natalia Carrillo from the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, and John Recendez from the Marshall School of Business, shared their experiences and enthusiasm for the new academic year, showcasing their continued commitment to their studies.
Additionally, we were thrilled to introduce incoming freshmen scholars, Isaic Alonso from Foshay Learning Center, who will be studying Psychology in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, and Alondra Arieth Hernandez from Huntington Park High School, majoring in Neuroscience in the same college. Their passion for learning and their promising futures were inspiring to witness.
The event was filled with pride and anticipation as we celebrated the accomplishments of these scholars and welcomed the new academic year with enthusiasm and excitement. We are incredibly proud of each scholar’s dedication and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
