USC College Personal Statement Bootcamp

The USC Emeriti Center, Retired Faculty and Staff collaborated with the Volunteers of America-Educational Talent Search to assist high school seniors in writing their college personal statements required by the University of California and Common App applications.
Many USC volunteers helped local high school students with coming up with good ideas for personal essays and editing the essays for content, grammar and spelling.
The two Virtual Boot Camp Sessions took place on zoom on October 28 and November 6. We sincerely thank all of those retired and not who participated in this program. If you would like to volunteer for our next sessions, please email emeriti@usc.edu.
