July 28, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

Last updated 07/13/2022

On Thursday 7/28, SRA members will meet at the Emeriti Center, 835 W 34th St., University Park Campus at 10:00 AM,  to board a chartered USC bus to the Museum in Pasadena.

The Museum is located at 46 N Robles Ave., in Pasadena. There is a parking lot adjacent to the museum if you wish to meet the group at the museum with your own vehicle. Dick Martin, SRA Treasurer and Day Trip coordinator will collect $20 from members and guests riding the bus to defray the cost of the bus charter, admission and the catered lunch, and $10 if you are meeting the group at the museum. Please have cash payment in hand to give to Dick Martin.

At 11:15 AM there will be a presentation of the history and purpose of the USC Pacific Asia Museum.

At 11:30 AM the group will be broken into smaller groups for tours. In addition to the permanent collection, we will get a preview of an exhibit scheduled to open the following week, Off Kilter: Power and Pathos. This contemporary exhibition features the works of Sandra Low, Keiko Fukazawa, and Kim-Trang Tran addressing socio-political issues using satire and critical commentary.

Starting between 12:45 and 1 PM there will be a catered lunch in the Museum garden.

Between 2:15 and 2:30 PM we will board the USC bus for the return to campus.
