Gregory Davis has been conducting geological fieldwork in the mountains underlying China’s Great Wall since 1987. His research efforts have been recognized by multiple revered publications and a decade of summer teaching appointments at the China University of Geosciences/Beijing. Davis used the Basil award to support his travels to China and complete his research as well as assist in the preparation of geological figures necessary for publication.
