Event Recap – Trojan Table 10/7

Last updated 10/28/2022

On Friday, October 7, 2022 the Emeriti Center and retired USC faculty and staff hosted another successful installment of Trojan Table. Our second of these such events this year saw nearly 300 hundred hungry students lined up out in front of the URC eagerly waiting for their free meal provided by Chef Tracey and the retiree community. Chef Tracey cooked up delicious options for students to choose from, but the highlight was the cake brought by Dick Martin, which students finished in a matter of minutes! Once served a plate, students filed out the kitchen to the URC patio where they conversed with retirees about school, projects, work, and life. A good time was had by all and we look forward to sponsoring Trojan Table almost every month of this fall semester.

Trojan Table is a fun and inclusive environment where USC Retired Faculty and Staff showed their support for student wellness, inclusion and caring.

Trojan Table provides students with free homestyle dinners for USC Students from USC Retirees! This round of Trojan Table, students were treated to roasted chicken, vegetarian noodles, rice, salad, fruit, and cake prepared by Chef Tracey in the URC Kitchen!

The USC Emeriti Center is the intergenerational bridge across the university employee lifespan. We partner with USC schools and units for interdisciplinary, intergenerational and multicultural initiatives benefitting the university community and beyond. Through this model, we highlight USC faculty research and teaching while engaging USC students in experiential learning and practice outside the classroom.
