Online Payments: How To and How Safe Is It?
(Payments for Products / Services & Sending Money to Family / Friends)
Presented by the students of the GeroTech SC
This workshop will focus on
1. Online payments for services and products
and
2. Online sending money to family and friends
such as
PayPal, Zelle, Apple Pay, Venmo, Google Pay others
This workshop will identify ‘safe’ online payment methods such as,
Digital Wallets, Virtual Cards, Prepaid Cards, ACH & QR Card Payments, Credit Cards
The future of mobile payments will be touched on as it is forecast to be characterized by real-time payments, increased convenience, security and innovation
And for each type of transaction, the workshop will provide
How is it done – alternatives and their pros and cons
Ease of use, security risks and helpful hints
Sample training opportunities for participants will be included
Skillsets of all levels are welcome. And the GeroTech students will answer any questions you may have about online payments, plus at the conclusion, they will also answer questions on any technology topic participants would like to bring up
