Debbie Wong, the current President of the Staff Retirement Association at the University of Southern California (USC), is a distinguished and dedicated member of the Trojan community. With a strong educational background, Debbie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California.

Debbie is a Life Member of Town and Gown and has served on its Board of Directors since 2018. Her dedication to enhancing the USC community is further showcased as she takes on the role of Vice President of Programs since 2022.

Debbie’s unwavering commitment to USC is evident through her multifaceted involvement within the university. She is an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta, where she has served as Co-President of the Parents Club and as an Advisory Board Member. Her contributions extend to the USC Alumni Association, where she was a member on the Board of Governors and Board of Governors Emeriti, demonstrating her passion for fostering alumni engagement.

Furthermore, Debbie’s commitment to building a sense of belonging and support extends to the USC Parents Association and the Inter-sorority Parents Club, where she has held positions as Co-President and Advisor.

Debbie’s remarkable contributions to USC have not gone unnoticed. She has received numerous honors and awards, including the Asian Pacific Alumni Association Service Award, the John R. Hubbard Award for Greek Leadership and Volunteerism, the Alumni Association President’s Award for Volunteerism and Outstanding Service, and the Alumni Association Widney Alumni Award for Outstanding Service.

Beyond her involvement with USC, Debbie remains actively engaged in her community as a sustaining member of organizations like the Junior League of Pasadena, Assistance League of East San Gabriel Valley, and Braille Auxiliary.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Debbie Wong, alongside her Trojan husband, has been married for 44 years and together they have raised three adult Trojans. Her remarkable journey at USC includes a decade and a half of dedicated service, during which she worked as an event planner in Student Affairs, the Price school, and Moreton Fig.

In her leisure time, Debbie enjoys cherishing moments with her grandsons and grandpuppies, indulging in her passion for tennis, and entertaining family and friends. Her contributions to USC and her vibrant engagement with the community make Debbie Wong a respected and cherished member of the Trojan family.
