Gretchen Anderson was awarded the Douglas C. Basil Award for her research on the design and development of modular facilities for Early Childhood Care and Education as it takes shape.
The Douglas C. Basil Awards celebrate the valuable contributions of retired faculty in higher education. An honored Emeritus Professor, Dr. Basil retired in 1989 from the Management and Organization Department at the USC Marshall School of Business after 28 years of service. Two awards at $5,000 each are given for a special project or research. Due to COVID-19, the award was not given in 2020. To make up for lost time, four winners were chosen in 2021. There were many applicants equally worthy in winning the Basil Award and random selection was made by Executive Vice Provost Elizabeth Grady.
