Leah Stevenson grew up in Los Angeles with her older brother, sister and mother. She watched as her mother raised three kids while simultaneously attending college to earn a degree to better the lives of her and her children. This inspired Leah to work hard in high school so she could attend a top university, one that would make her family proud.
She is majoring in Architecture as it combines two of her passions, art and technology, and selected USC for its outstanding School of Architecture. After a visit to USC, she fell in love with the campus and knew this was where she wanted to study.
Leah is a 2024 graduate of Foshay Learning Center, earning high honors with an excellent GPA and exemplary leadership skills as president of the STEAM Club (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). As president of STEAM the participants created robots and coded drones.
She was a member of the Tech Academy, a three-year-long program, that teaches students the fundamentals of coding and technology. Leah also participated in Tech360 and Tech Flex Leaders, which again taught coding and how to construct a website.
Leah was also a part of USC’s A-Lab Architectural Program, which was dedicated to teaching high schoolers the basics of architecture. It was this program that led her to choose architecture as her major. In 2021 Leah was elected valedictorian of her A-Lab cohort.t
Outside of school, Leah enjoys hanging out and playing video games with her friends, reading new books, drawing, and going on walks with her chihuahua, Thorita.
