Alondra Hernandez will be pursuing a degree in neuroscience within USC’s Dornsife School of Letters, Arts & Science. In June 2023, she graduated from Huntington Park High School with Principal Honors and Biliteracy awards. At Huntington Park High, she was part of Women’s Soccer, Track & Field, and Cross-Country teams. Additionally, she was a member of the school’s Key Club organization and held the position of Vice President for two years.
In the summer before her junior year, she co-founded the organization “HP Lending Hands.”
Following the organization’s mission to “be a lending hand to our community and the ones around us,” they organized events to donate clothing to the LA Mission and sent inspirational coloring pages to children in hospitals, nursing homes and those serving our country. Each page was colored and personalized by students at Huntington Park High School. Alondra hopes to continue helping others by pursuing a career as a physician. Along with assisting individuals in a medical practice, she wants to be able to make an impactful contribution to bring high quality health care for those in minority and low-income communities.
