On Friday, August 14th, we learned about restorative yoga, a quieting practice that helps reset the nervous system and provide calm for the body.
The presentation offered different breathing, meditation, and restorative yoga techniques which can be used throughout your day in order to counteract the effects of stress on our nervous system. You can learn modified posed depending on your needs that follow safety considerations.
You will need a journal and pen, two pillows, and two folded blankets.
As a yoga, restorative yoga, meditation instructor, and Advanced Rolfer, María Cristina has dedicated her life to helping heal and educate about the body. Her passion lies in helping people through trauma. Originally from Puerto Rico, she is now based in Los Angeles, where she is finishing her master’s degree in occupational therapy at USC.
