Center for Advancing Sociodemographic and Economic Study of Alzheimer’s Disease – Professor Julie Zissimopoulos

USC recently announced a new Center for Advancing Sociodemographic and Economic Study of Alzheimer’s Disease, with interdisciplinary experts from USC, Stanford and the University of Texas, Austin.  Established with a $4.1 million grant from the National Institute on Aging, the Center will be directed by Professor Julie Zissimopoulos and Price School Interim Dean Dana Goldman. The center also will develop strategies to reduce Alzheimer’s burden on healthcare systems.  An international research team will forecast national and international trends related to Alzheimer’s.

On Friday, September 11, the Retired Faculty Association Board hosted Julie Zissimopoulos, who discussed the center’s exploration of ways to ease the toll of Alzheimer’s Disease on individuals, families and caregivers.
