Kevin Gomez

Kevin Gomez (2024) majored in Public Policy, with minors in Social Work and Juvenile Justice, and Law and Migration Studies. He was also recognized at graduation with a Student Recognition Award. He was a participant in one of Boston’s Harvard Kennedy School of Public Policy Leadership Conferences and Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs Fellowship Program. Kevin served as the Mentorship Lead, part of the First Generation Plus Success Center’s, “Student Leaders program,” guiding students through their academic journey at USC. He was a student interpreter at the USC Immigration Clinic and was a tutor with the Prison Education Project on campus.

While in high school, Kevin participated in State Assemblyman Jimmy Gomez’s Youth Council, who represents the district where Kevin lives. Kevin also volunteered for the Boyle Heights Youth Festival as one of the original student coordinators of the festival. He is now a Youth Mentor, and in June 2025 will facilitate/work with the youth to make their ideas come to life as part of the adult decision team. 

Currently he is participating in Senator Alex Padilla’s internship program where he has worked since Fall of 2024.
