At Rothenberg Hall on Janurary 23, 2017, the Emeriti Center and the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens held another lecture: “Portland Japanese Garden: The Journey Continues.” The lecture was led by Sadafumi Uchiyama, Garden Curator of the Portland Japanese Garden. He reflected on their recent expansion and newly founded Institute for teaching garden history, design, construction, and maintenance. For more than 50 years, the Portland Japanese Garden has been a haven of serenity and an important center for Japanese culture.

This lecture was made possible by Frank and Toshie Mosher and the USC Emeriti Center’s Noboru Inamoto Endowment for promoting understanding of Japanese culture.
